Punkin Center RV Corral is located in the heart of Tonto National Forest. This offers quick access to off road trails and Theodore Roosevelt Lake Recreation Area. The Park is also in close proximity to restaurants, bars and motor sports shops.

Theodore Roosevelt Lake is the largest man made reservoir located entirely inside the State of Arizona covering 33.58 square miles. The lake offers fishing, camping, and a marina with restaurant. Speed boats are welcome making it a popular spot for tubing, wakeboarding and waterskiing.
The back of Four Peaks, which is part of the Mazatzal Mountain range, can easily be accessed from the park. This offers many 4x4 trails for anyone who likes to go off road. In the spring the desert blooms bringing in a blanket of orange.
Overlooking Theodore Roosevelt Lake are the Upper and Lower Cliff Dwellings. Dating back 700 years, these dwellings were built by the Salado. There are guided tours to the Upper Cliff Dwellings from November to April. The Lower Cliff Dwellings are open year round and do not require the guided tour.
